I dont own a nano as of now, but I am a strong potential buyer of this machine. I have read many articles on the Nano and surfed the net with reviews etc. My father owns a MARUTI ZEN and my elder brother has a MARUTI ALTO. Earlier my dad had a MARUTI 800 also. So I have driven all these three cars which upto date rule the Indian roads no matter how little space they have within them. But I am very keen on buying the car which has started a revolution in the auto industry around the globe...the our very own TATA NANO. Yesterday I went for the test drive of this small yet spacious machine. However, the person who took me for the drive, was on his personal phone call and did not explain me about any aspect of the car. Also since the area where we went for the drive was quite conjested and so I could not even put 3rd or 4th gear. But as far as I remember the handling of the car was not that smooth, I dont know may be these test drive cars are used very roughly or was it like that from the factory. The space of the car is not my concern because in every aspect the car has more space than any other samll car (maruti cars).
So I kindly ask the advise of the present owners of this small powerful car whether I should go for it or look for other options. Also I am confused whether to buy the CX or LX model since the price difference is only approx Rs 30, 000.00 and I want body coloured bumpers here and they dont offer that on CX model. I am concerned about the power window issue here. I myself have an opinion that power windows are not that reliable. And sometimes also think that may be the TATA did not give a good mechanism for power windows which may break down after a year or two since they had to look at the cost of the whole car as well.
So kindly advise for model as well...CX or LX. Since I want to go for LX model which costs exactly Rs 233, 000.00 (on road price, Thane).
