My Manipal as it used to be, but now the name have been changed to Bhooma automobiles, probably they got there name spoilt enough to get it changed so that ppl are fooled to believe that the experience can change .


Here we start


The vehicle was given for service on Apr 10th and complaints included to have a check on the windscreen wiper motor and also the change in FICD due to rpm over shoot increasing the rev of the engine. It was informed by the service advisor that there are some issues in shock absorbers which they will cover it under warranty period and promised to deliver the vehicle by Apr 13th.


Apr 13th, 14th, 15th – No intimation, service advisor would not mind picking the call either . no more waiting over calls, I visited the service center by taking permission from office to be informed by the service person that the cars warranty clearance came only by that time hence they will deliver the vehicle by next day.and the service advisors excuse for not attendint the call was that his phone was not in a proper condition(Damn) .


Apr 16 – No intimation , Apr 17th – I had to call up them myself and clear the bill and asked them to deliver the vehicle, the vehicle got delivered by 05:45 PM, Friday night weekend dinner as our family prepared to go out to have good time to my surprise the car which came home after a weeks service refused to start with complete battery drain .


Service center guys called in for temporary battery change and told the battery is very weak sir(No complaints about battery as such when left for service) and they said they ll charge the battery and can get the battery by next day, okie with the temporary battery I start to notice that the service people did not center the steering after the tire was balanced(I was driving with a crossed steering for couple of days)


Next day had to check the car thoroughly myself – 1) the wheel cap of the front tire has been broken 2) Screw from the heat valve of the engine is missing – Well if the pumps are damaged – the customer is ignorant who ll curse himself to pay for it but for the service centers mistake.


Lets come back to the battery – The service incharge Jayaraj informs me that the battery is weak and its high time the battery is replaced, when arguing the battery was not having any problem I was asked to change the battery myself while they cant help, now after a couple of days fighting and writing to CRM and GM services of Bhooma automobiles, from the enquiry it has been found that the rats in garage have bitten the battery wire which have drained the battery completely and so they ve jump started the vehicle and dropped it without intimating, they hid this fact and asked me to replace the battery for 5000 Rs, the service center guys bluntly replied we cant do anything – it’s a natural disaster(Rat in a garage) so I have to pay for the battery myself, it took about a months time for me writing letters to Head incharge of customer satisfaction Mr.Reddy and frequent follow ups .And still they were reluctant to change a new battery.


Later it has been found that service center which carry the tags of quality does not bother to service the vehicle during free service but wash the vehicle and change the oil for which the customer pays and give back the vehicle as such if there is no complaint from the customer side.


1) Next time when u leave your vehicle for service let it be any center – Just ask those guys for explanation why any activity on your vehicle needs to be carried out, they will try pushing in additives, decarburization etc which will be needed by the vehicle only by once every 25k or 30k.and if u find the explanations vague don’t get that job done its nothing but revenue for the company.


2) Always check for the faults that have been given in specific and make sure to check your car after a week from service for the complaints which you have given because once the car comes from service center one can hardly figure out for any changes as it would look nice and clean and we may miss a point under the hood.


3) Don’t trust whatever the service person tells you, keep the records clean and check for yourselves the work carried out previously and cross check – They have the informational advantage and will try to play the con job. Lots of service center guys knows only replacement and not repairing, even be a small thing they want to change the unit as such.


4) Get a local mechanic who is reliable and take a good second opinion before spending your cash on service centers.


5) If possible sell your car as soon as your warranty is over to avoid huge bills
