I bought Manza Diesel in Apr 10 through Pandit Automotives, Pune. I was very fascinated with the specs and space of the car. True to that the car is very smooth and has best shock absorbers, but poor pickup. In next couple of days, I got to know that USB devices are not getting acknowledged so went to Pandit and they blamed it on USB device:) When followed up them repetitively, they figured out the issue with player and fixed it. Then I got to know that that there is no sound coming out from rear speaker. This time they figured out that electrical connection was missing when the speaker was opened up. In next week, while driving I got to know that my head lights are not switching on. Went back and they said that assembly below steering wheel which hosts those buttons, is faulty and replaced it. Then in coming weeks, alternatively almost for each door, my internal central locking mechanism failed.

Got it repaired. Then on one fine day one of my rear doors glass went down and refused to come up:) I was told that the winder has given up this time. Mechanic manually raised the glass and tied it with cables. And that how I was driving it for around 2 months since service centers were not having rear winders in stores and were not getting it from Tata inspite of placing orders. Now in last month, I figured out that the AC is not effective. Initially I thought it might be coolant issue but even it’s not the actual reason. Now god only knows when it would be fixed.

There were few design flaws like beige dashboard which used to shine and reflect back light on driver’s eyes. After realizing this, Tata has come up with New Manza where all interiors are black to ensure minimum reflection. If you see any random Manza, there is gap of almost finger wide in bonnet and body which looks as if the bonnet is left open by mistake.

When inquired, I was told that it’s a "feature" of car. Fortunately, I could get this feature fixed after repetitive trips to Pandit. Since this was the first time any Tata car had headlights one above other, they have missed on the alignment part of it. Even if you adjust the angle to the maximum, the upper setting throws light at a distance where a typically deeper should fall. This results in limited visibility of slightly distant objects. This is not yet corrected.

My friends had advised me not to go for Tata car when I was deciding on Manza and now I realize why. I can assume that selectively I might have faced maximum issues with my Manza but you will get the similar feedback from anyone who own Tata car.
