I had bought the Manza Aura Quadra jet in July from Autolinks, Delhi and have since then clocked more than 5000 km. The car has been driven in city and also on highways. The the car offers lots of space inside the cabin and the boot is pretty substantial too, the mileage is also good (19 on highways and 14 – 15 on city on mixed use AC), and ride is also comfortable.

I however feel that the Tata Motors still thinks for the Taxi Drivers segment and not for their Target Audience as claimed in their adverts.

I went for the first service after completing 1000 km and here were already quite a few Quality issues with the car. The rear seat belt did not function properly, the front seat belt holder had come loose, the LED switch on the front power window button stopped functioning, there was an alignment issue in the headlights with one headlight effective for a longer distance than the other and the boot lamp did not function. I will say that the service people were helpful and did their best.

However, the seat belts had broken down (even without use!) and they did nit have a spare since this apparently had to be ordered from Pune.

I have since then done another 4000 odd km and the car is due for another service. Now, I have a bigger lists of complaints for the service people to attend to. The High beam on headlights is not really effective. There is hardly any difference between the high beam and the low beam. The rear Seat belt and the boot lamp issues still remain open and the there is a funny noise coming from the rear underside whenever I cross a hump on the road. The engine noise is also substantial even inside the closed cabin.

I had driven a Santro before this for 8 years and 1.20 Lakh Km and I must say that there was hardly any issues like this in that car. Tata’s have a great car on their hands but they really need to address these quality issues asap.

Have now done 18000 odd km on this car. Its a good drive but the problems remain. The High beaqm continues to be a major issue. I wonder if anyone else has the same problem. The engine noise is now substantial, even inside the cabin. There is a constant noise from the engine and this tends to get on my nerves specailly on long drives and often even in high traffic conditions.

Would like other members to also comment if they have faced sucgh issues or the remedies for the same
