I just' wanted 2 share my experience with indigo. Purchased the diesel version TDI in 2006. This year in jan drove from mangalore in karnataka to varanasi in u.p and back. The car proved to be a roadhorse without any complications. Will u believe, not a single snag or puncture during the entire journey of almost 6000 kms. Consider it an achievement in view of the condition of roads encountered enroute. The vehicle gives a thrill when steaming above 100 kmph but mind u be ware especially on the inviting expressway. Be wary of the laden trucks that change the lane without any indication. Had a close shave on the bangalore-pune expressway. Something about the car.
We a family of three were quite cozy in the indigo's environ. The back seat proved comfy enough for my child to sleep. On highway the fuel average was around 20 whereas in cities, it varied between 16-18 km. Technicians tell me that just remember to change the engine oil every 6 months/5000 km without fail and the car will be faithful to u, always. AC is good and so is steering and balance but while changing to reverse gear, system makes more noise.
While going went via mnglr-karwar-dharwad-satara-pune-shirdi-dhule-indore-bhopal (halt)-jabalpur-allahabad-varanasi. Return was via mumbai-goa route. 2 tell u the truth I was the single driver throughout but some fun we had.
So next time when u plan such a SMALL journey be sure that AC is on, CD system is playing, seat belts are on and the car is an indigo.
