Its the most pathetic internet connection I ever had, even slower then dial up connections I used almost 8-9 years back. And its unreliable too, data transfer stops every now and then for 10-15 mins. And this happens at least 10 times in a day.
Actually my suffering started right from day one of my application. I took Tata Indicom plug2surf under impression that being wireless, activation will be done immediately. But the sales man told me that Tata Indicom process is even slower then Govt BSNL. He told me that it will take min 3 days for connection to get activated. In today's competitive world, you get land line installed in 3 days Mr. Ratan Tata, and here your company is offering a mobile data connection in 3 days, and that too in city like Pune, which is suppose to be IT hub of India.
Anyway, it never got up in 3 days, just guess how many days it took??? don't jump from your chairs, it took 10 good days and at least 100 calls to various indicom employees across the cadre. JUST IMAGINE 10 days to get a mobile internet connection activated in city like Pune. No wonder Tata Indicom is worst Private sector company in India, all of its cadre are useless bunch of unproductive people.
Now comes the real thing, they claim that the connection speed is 153 kbps, fastest then any other mobile
internet in India. In real terms, I doubt if its even 28 kbps, the speed which we use to get in initial days of internet in 1996-97.
I will never recommend anyone to go for Tata Indicom Plug2Surf ever. The company failed on all three counts
Poor Quality of Service
Poor Salesman ship (obviously 10 days activation in 2008 is a joke) and
Very poor support.
