Please have a look at the mail which I have sent to Tata Indicom Support. Which will tell you completely how frustrated am I with this product.I am an existing Tata Indicom - Photon plus customer..(A/C No. - 903989860) Not a normal customer a completely pissed customer who needs some help and there is no one to help him....


Please forgive me to be honest. Your connection is not helping me in any ways and your support is just sick....


I got impressed by the way you guys were marketing Photon and thought of going for it, I called up so vendors (Mangala Traders, BTM) for demo and when he came down to my home for demo, the connection was just awesome. It was working so fast, I was again impressed and went for the connection, and your vendor handed over the device to me after I paid him Rs. 3, 500/- and my address and ID proof. At that time he told me that some Technician from Tata Indicom would come down to my home to activate the connection within 48 Hrs and the person who called me was just great - He does not understand any language other than Kannada, and if this is the standard of the technician which you are sending to customers home then I don't think any one other than original kannadigas can go for this connection. And just because of this reason that he does not understands me he calls me at his own convenience without even checking am I free or not. Do you guys expect me to sit at home 24 Hrs expecting your technician to come home.. if you guys are expecting that then it is just ridiculous.. It doesn't stop here, the so called Technician at last comes to my home after 3 days after me continuously following up with him and I manage my time accordingly so that I don't miss the appointment and as soon as he comes in he is asking me for a xerox copy of my ID proof and Address proof, I was surprised and asked him "I am following up with you for the last 2 days and you never told me anything about this and are you expecting me to sit at home with a xerox machine always without knowing what all xerox will you ask", the answer which I got from him was more surprising, his response was "I will activate the connection and go, after 2 days it will get disconnected and I have no problem about it" this was the response which I got from him and you believe this is your customer support. Any way, still I convinced him somehow with the broken Kannada which I know, and now he starts the activation and he is trying to install something in my computer. That was my next shock... The So called Technician does not know anything technical, he does not know what decice manager is, what an installation means, In fact he didn't even know where is start in my Vista machine, I had to sit and troubleshoot at last to get that software installed and my connection started working and this person went.


The story doesn't end here, after he left I tried downloading a file and that was the greatest shock which I could ever have, a connection for which I am paying Rs. 1, 500/- + TAX as monthly rental and the connection which was supposed to have 2.5 MBPS speed is downloading a file at the speed of 3KB per second and goes up to 11 KB per second, which is much lesser than a Dial-UP connection. At one point of time, it went up to 104 KB/s, but it came down to its normal speed of 8 to 11KB/s within next 15 to 20 Min's.. I am just not happy with the connection, Still I thought it could even be a problem with the location in which my house is located, So I took your device to one of my friends house and compared my photon connection with his reliance winmax connection which was much faster compared to mine, that gave the answer for my question that it is not an issue with the place where I stay, So I thought it could e a problem with my Operating System, So I formatted my computer completely and reinstalled the OS, Even after that the connection was continuing in the same speed. Still I was trying to use the connection for 1 more day to check the progress of the speed. But unfortunately I lost the connection completely today night, it says it cannot connect to the remote computer or something..and what ever I do it gives the same error message... And that's when I get to know another news, If I need to get in touch with the Tech Support or the customer support team, I need to know the Tata Indicom phone number assigned for my Photon device without which the IVR will not allow me to talk to anyone...the best part is I didn't even knew that there is a phone number assigned to my device also, The So called technician never gave me all these details..


Now what do I do, Keep your Photon device in my Pooja Room and pray sitting in front of it every day, your device does not work first of all and even I cannot reach your support without the phone number...


Take my word, If you are not planning to change the technicians who goes to customers place , you will not get any customers, The guy who came to my place was just pathetic, forget about technician, he didn't even know how to use my optical mouse, he was trying to move it to left and it moves to right, it was looking like a fresher riding a bike and you guys calls him a technician, ridiculous...


Any way, In short, please do something to fix my issue, I need a connection which works fine all the time and the speed should not go below a normal fixed line connection even during heavy traffic times and it should give me the speed which you guys assured, rest of the time. I'm not even asking you guys to give me a 2.5MBPS connection as you guys say in your add, I would be more than happy even if you can give me a connection which works at normal speed of 30 to 40KB/s download speed. If not I wont care about the money (Rs. 3, 500/-) which I paid to buy your device, I will just cancel this connection and will make sure all my friends circle is aware of your great support and a sick product...
