I had applied for a connection when TATA INDICOM was promoting their stuff and promises in the premises of HP Bangalore in FEB - MARCH Last year.I was given the number of this wonderful guy called SHOIB who was supposedly supposed to get my connectioon, It took them 4 months to get back to me with the initial fealisbility report during which shoib would be calling and often giving missed calls and blank calls to my fiancee on my number, cos she had given her name as a alternate contact . When confronted, he also threatedned to make sure that I never get a connection in my life .after scores of phonecalls to the customer care and after series of emails I finally got in touch with a senior person called MANOJ who really helped me a lot in getting the connection.
I was over joyed.I was promised a 2 GB download( wqhich I was later much later told was only 150 mb in reality) and 24/7 connectivity.Finally I get my connection after a lot of phone calls and haggling( since I wanted to work from home) on 11th July 2006.The connection went off on 13th July 2006.
From then on started the entire slew of harrassment and empty promisesof server error, technical difficulty to 2 instances where they claimed they spoke to me and I conformed that the line was working fine.
Threatening to sue through the consumer court did nuthing to peterb them.They would either abuse me or simply hang up if I got irriatated.Of course thru and thru, I got almost around 10-15 diff complaint numbers.
Finally my connetion was restored on 11th septermebr to go off again on 12th September.By this time I would be getting a lot of calls from them to pay my dues, cos thats why the connection can be restored.Trying to explain that I havent got connection from July was of no avail.
Also the accounts people mention that in a post paid connection taken in JULY, my billing has started in late May and early June as a PRO RATA .which I wasnt able to decipher.The bills it see, s was being sent to my TATA INDICOM Mail Box which I have never been able to access, let alone set up .
Finally when I asked for the connection to get terminated, I get a call immediuately the next day, from TATA INDICOM when they can pick up the router, and of course the payment which is due from JUne 2006 till november 2006.
Recently, I started again getting calls from SHOIB on my phone asking for m y fiancee and again a slew of insults and perversiveness which stopped only when legal help was taken in consideration.
Till now the connection HAD NOT BEEN RESTORED, but the last phone call I mentioned very clearly that someone can come and pick up the router since there is no use for it in my house that I am going to shift in a weeks time.and YES, I need a letter clearing all accounts, since in a period of last one year I HAD BEENABLE TO SURF ONLY FOR 4 DAYS WHICH I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR .
NO ONE HAS CALLED OR CONTACTED AS OF THE DAY THIS REVIEW WAS BEING WRITTEN .
TATA INDICOM IS A PURE HARRASSMENT and I MUST HAVE RUN A MOBILE BILL OF OVER 7000 waiting and contacting them for my connectin which is my legal right to have .
VERDICT: BLACK LIST TATA INDICOM AND LETS CONTACT THE CONSUMER COURT TOGETHER TO SURE THE COMPANY FOR HARASSMENT AND FOR NON DELIVERY OF SERVICES
