Using tata indicom internet connection since one year I gave up the connection as we took better internet connection from some other ISP I booked up complain to there consumer call centre


I am providing you the list in chronological order. All correspondence through emails are available with me.




  1. Oct 9th 2008 at 11.52 AM Request for disconnection effective from the next billing cycle, which falls on 20.10.08.




2.Thu, 9 Oct 2008 18:42:47 PM: complaint registered vide request number: 7340246


3.Unfortunate action but the connection was removed on 10.9.08, without even seeing the contents of the email and the complaint.




  1. Saturday, October 11, 2008 6:51 PM Taken up with the concerned department again on incorrect action.




  2. Sun, 12 Oct 2008 16:37:51 Acknowledged by your office vide complaint No.7370330 and also confirming the payment of Rs.1124/- showing validity till 20th Oct. 2008




  3. The connection was removed on 21st October 2008.




  4. Friday, December 19, 2008 6:24 PM Two months passed. Neither the refund of the deposit was made nor any one came to collect the modem. Hence a reminder mail was sent. However in between also several telephonic calls made but of no response or use.






8.Sat, 20 Dec 2008 13:42:48 We appreciate prompt action of customer service department, which every time creates a new complaint number, immaterial of the fact whether the compalaint is attended or not. This time a new complaint registered with No. 8170340, advising that the disconnection was made on 29th October 2008, whereas the fact is that the same was removed on 21sth October 2008. Usage in the account will confirm to this. The mail also assures that on collection of the equipment, the process of refund shall start.


9.Saturday, December 20, 2008 7:02 PM A mail was sent advising our past experience on refunds and advising to refund the deposit and collect your instrument.

11.Sunday, January 04, 2009 2:44 PM: Another irritating mail from an un attended and dissatisfied customer on non refund of the customer's money as well as non collection of your instrument. The customer is penalised to have a safe custody of the instrument without any payments.


12.Sun, 4 Jan 2009 16:07:10 Again an apology and a new complaint number: 8339134. Assurance for redressal of grievance and seeking cooperation. How long do you expect the customer to keep patience?


13.Monday, January 05, 2009 9:19 PM: At last the department woke up from slumber and asked the customer to return the equipment, however with payment of customer's money. The company was asked to atleast give an assurance in writing that they owe the money to the customer.


14.Tue, 6 Jan 2009 12:32:19 We are told that As per the billing norms once the equipments are collected and accoute gets terminated then only refund will be processed. However no assurance or guarantee that the money will be refunded back.


15Tuesday, January 06, 2009 12:47 PM We are told by the customer service person that we owe Rs. 438(after cutting the deposit mondy) to the company and hence we are required to return back the modem alongwith this payment. We are failed to understand as to how instead of payment agreed to us, the demand has been raised on us. A mail to this effect was sent.




  1. Tue, 6 Jan 2009 17:07:39 Again the same steriophonic reply that payment can be processed only when the equipment is returned. No concern or reply to the query raised in the mail sent at 12.47 PM.




  2. Thus now it is height of patience and cooperation and now this all is forcing us to go to the consumer's forum, which is the last resort






when we sent this email they sent us again a new complain number 8371608 and same assurance that it will be solved but till date no update.


I will suggest people not to give any deposit to the compnay as while returning the deposit they will just eat it away and ask more money to take there equipment back which is in plain terms bullsh*^.
