Tata - Sirf Naam hee kaafi hai. to stay away.
Tata - A neighbour complained that they gave him a static IP address which they allotted to someone else too. And he was threatened to pay the inflated bills. Also, I think the prices are a bit too high for the kind of services they provide. Very similar to Tata's electronic store - Croma. High prices, low quality(and you will never find what you are looking for). Tata Indicom speeds are too low to qualify as broadband.
I once called up their marketing person for a connection for my home. He came with the pamphlet listing their plans. Well, I asked about Wifi router - he said the scheme is closed at the moment. Allright. Now what about the night unlimited usage plan. He said that too is closed at the moment. Fine. Still the charges are high, so what is the guarantee of quality of service. He said no guarantee, it depends on the load on the server. I said good bye.
I am yet to meet a single Tata Indicom broadband user who is happy with their service. Even their corporate connections are not upto the mark. In my previous company, Airtel was the service provider. In this company it is Tata Indicom. Cant really compare the speeds since number of people are different, but as far as reliability goes, I see too many downtimes here. But here in this IT park, its a Tata Monopoly. so no choice.
