Recently I bought a tata indicom broadband connection. From the very first day itself I have been facing a lot of issues with them. First when the person came to install the hardware. While leaving he told that my account will be activated within 30 minutes, and then I had to wait one and half day to get the account running! I called them several times, came only one reply "When it is ready we will inform you". Not to mention I did not get any call from them till now (almost 20 days have passed).
I overlooked this issue as I got my connection running. I had to send some very important emails. Only then I noticed the connection is getting disconnected within 1 - 1.5 minutes. I called tata people, and they sent their executives to sort it out!
I was shocked to see that they dcould not even guess the probable reasons behind this. First they deleted all temp files, cookies et al, and then started the browser. It started as usual. They were happy that they solved my issue. I told them to wait for 1 - 2 minutes and bingo! The connection is lost again!
They seemed confused. They tried everything even replaced the antenna, used their service laptop, even advised me to use Mozilla Firefox while connecting to tata indicom! I appreciate the hard effort of them to solve my issue, but I was irritated to see them using hit and trial method while dealing with customer's issue. I did not get any answer why it is behaving like this. Then finally after 4 hours they also resigned (It was late at night. I was about to ask them to leave).
My point is why can't they send someone who has a bit more expertise. They are sending people who behave like trainees as client place! Why even can not they provide a connection that we can rely upon!
Then I asked them to cancel the connection, and opted for another service provider. Till then I received numerous calls from Tata. All of a sudden they decided to send some experienced staff at my place. I asked them to come and take the device back ASAP! but could not get rid of that thing.
If you are thinking about taking a broadband connection, never never choose tata indicom! These guys just do not know how to solve a problem, and I assure you you will have issues with their connection. Most of the people who used tata indicom broadband (at least from my neighborhood) are having one or another issue with these people.
