I would like to share with you my experience of using the GREAT Tata Indicom Broadband. I have been using this broadband service for quiet sometime now and whenever I am connected, I must agree that the speed of the connection is pretty good. But this does not mean that the Tata Indicom Broadband is a great service to use. Infact it is the worst service one can ever use. This is because you are unable to connect 9 out of 10 times, as the services are down.
I noticed for quiet some time that the Internet services used to go down in the evenings after 6 p.m., but started to work again the next morning. This used to happen very often even. Finally it was admitted by one of the service personnel that the employees used to swich Off the Server in the night and used to switch it back On the next morning. As expected you will not get to use the internet on the weekends as the server would be switched Off on Friday evening. But the worst was still to come. I came back from a long vacation and when
I plugged in the laptop to check mails, it was only expected that the Internet would be down. I again raised a complaint at the call center only to be assured by them that I would be given a call back within 24 hrs. Now It has been more than 12 days and the internet connection is not working. Nobody has even bothered to call back. Everytime I call up the call center and they assure me that someone will call be back up in 24hrs but no-one has ever done that. The issue has even been escalated to the higher authorities but all in vain.
Finally I have given up all hope that the connection would be rectified and applied for a new Internet connection yesterday from another service provider. Hopefully my experience will not be as bitter this time.
All I would suggest to everyone who is reading this experience that never ever apply for a TataIndicom Broadband connection.
