I booked Tata Indicom broadband almost a year ago. When they were unable to provide the service, I got my refund after threatening to take them to the consumer court. Recently they came up with a prepaid scheme. It appeared too attractive to be ignored. Little did I know that my problems would start again with even greater magnitude. It took several reminders and cajoling to get the connection. The installation people came, cut someone else's wire and attached my wire to it! And I had to pay Rs.1000/- only for this! The service pack of Rs 500/- ran out sooner than expected. Tata Indicom helpline number authoritatively declared that they do not have a prepaid service despite Tata Indicom website proclaiming it and I being their existing customer. Tata Indicom helpline cannot be contacted in the day time as the recorded voice states that all their executives are busy. I ring their helpline during night time, register my complaint, listen to a few sorries and that is it. I have yet to receive the recharge pack promised to me everyday.
