Few days back I purchased Indica Vista Quadrajet Auqa, and experienced alot of things so I want to share them with you. I already have a old 2000 Model Indica DLE, so I can make a good comparison about what Tata has improved and what they did wrong.
Although they wanted to make a lot of improvements but there still lagging behind in various things.
They introduced Fiat engine but I can feel the shakes while starting or stoping the engine. According to me they have tried to build the car a bit lighter to increase engine as well as suspension performance, it can be easily judged if you lift the hood of the car, the old indica's hood is significantly heavy in comparison.
But the engine performance is very good, it has a very good pick-up, but dont know how reliable and efficient it is.
Although the car is spacious but the interior is made of low quality plastic, the power window switches are very bad, you can easily listen the relay noices, the door are also built too light and you have to push them hard in order to close them.
You can find almost everything in th car but it seems that TATA has made a good compromise in quality whereas person like me cant expect this from tata.
There are alot of other about Indica but I want to finish with the Tata dealer, it seems that they dont worry about the sales, they work as a government body, they least care about the customer, while delivering the car they dont even washed it properly. When I bought it home I found 2 areas (hood and rear bumper) where I can be clearly see the touching is done by spray paint. That could be the reason why they dont washed it properly.
I suggest all of the folks to be very careful while buying a new car. It our money and we should spent it on the things that really worth it.
