This is in continuation with my previous review posted on 09/Aug/2011, regarding my car. One can trust regarding my earlier review about this car, by knowing the fact that I have just sold this horrible car due a very horrible reason of engine getting weak.
In May 2011, my car is yet to complete its two years and the K.M reading was only 42, 000 Kms at the time of selling the car. The service record of this car is very well maintained with the service dealer. After free services, two paid services has already been done with the same dealer.
When 15 days back I send the car for routine service, after keeping the car for three days, they told me that the engine of the car got weak and it needs to be overhauled. I was surprised to hear this and thinking how could a Quadrajet engine got weak so early. When I enquired, they totally calculated my fault. They told me that this car has been hit from the bottom and due to that the oil supply was not proper. But in recent past there was not such kind of instance. It actually happened, but approx. one year back. But after that, two services has been done by the same dealer and they neither diagnosed this type of serious problem nor told me.
After that they also refused to entartain the warranty and told me the budget of repairing the engine could go somewhere around Rs. One Lac.
As I was already not happy with the car from the day of purchace and after experiencing this type of problem and feedback from the TATA dealer, I took the decision to come out of the hell by selling the blunder car and getting rid of the most horrible services of the TATA dealer.
The resale price of this car is unremarkably very low. I have sold this car only at half price of the total money which I have paid while purchasing it.
They are totally telling my mistake but may be the fault is on there side. Like they might be using low quality of engine oil or the did not replace the oil while servicing( but they have charged everytime), there could the manufacturing fault in the engine or any other problem.
Due to my busy schedule and unavaibilty of the car( as they kept the car for 5 days during this period and demanding additional 1 month if I opt for the engine overhauling) I felt handicapped and didn't able to take any legal action, I decided to sell this car and going to purchase a new car. This time I would go for Maruti only.
Actually, they are taking the advantage of our weakness of not going to consumer courts for these type of services and misguidance. But this is hampering the image of TATA vehicles.
At last but not least I just want to say that TATA cars are only compatible for comercial uses and not for private purposes and TATA should raise the quality of there cars and should educate there dealers that all the customers of there vehicles are not drivers by profession.
I think I would be able to forget my bitter memories with this car after getting my new Maruti Swift Vdi and if atleast 1 person change his decision of purchasing this car after reading my review.
I also request to hear the horrible experiences of the person who have purchased the car even after reading my earlier review about this car.
