I test drove TATA Indica Vista quadrajet AQUA 4 days back at Concord motors Ambattur Chennai. I feel low displacement CRDI diesel engines will be the vehicles to go for in future. My impressions about the vehicle after the test drive.
1.Very spacious and ample leg room for the driver.I guess the fatigue for long distance driving will be low.
2.Electronic back lit speedo.Centrally located consoles.
3.Very smooth powerful engine.You can hardly make out that this is a diesel. Handles very well in typical city driving (30-40kmph) speeds. For the engine A/C does not seem to make any difference.There are no power drops.
4.Gear shifting is very smooth.The gear shift lever gives a smooth and confident feel.
5.View of the road from dashboard is good.
6.Has tiltable steering column, & seat belt alarm that beeps for 2 minutes.
The waiting period for Tata Indica Vista quadrajet Aqua model is one month from booking. I drive a Santro .I plan to go for Vista shortly.
