It is solid like a truck on the basis of all the accidents I have seen and how the Indica has stood tall amongst them. Indica is also a bit too noisy, which is the most losing aspect of it. A Senior guy at telco I heard remarked that this was not amongst priorities with the Indica. Yes yes with the money coming in, it definitely isn't, but then there is something called quality and value for money and loyal base clientele desired at the end of the road when competition arrives. I still find the choice difficult to make if to go for the Indica, Palio or for the Honda (this is not in the league with Indica, but given the looks I feel like going overboard and spending money ). Palio is good and is already on the road to establishing itself after the recent revamp of its service stations and their expansion on the dealer network. Indica is safe.....But noisy...Cant make up my mind... I think the palio edges out Indica any time. However Fiats position in India creates the difficulty in choosing Palio. I read all the reviews from users who had used the car over a period of time and saw that they were indeed cursing Indica. Anyways reviewers are going to make a scapegoat of me for giving so many ??? and providing no concrete suggestions. But I think that is what it is. Indica is not a definitive choice. It is a compromise from what is available. Indica due to diesel contributes to its winning. Else think about this. Maruti scores over Indica in the petrol segment.

----------------------I brought the Indica and here is my expereince---------------------------

I bought the Indica. Its engine gave up on me 3 times over a period of 3 years I owned it. Coincidently I had the car serviced in a TATA after which the car ceased. The engine temp indicator never worked.......damn their quality. Now I own a car(another brand) where I do not need to change the coolant for 1 lac km. Also teh car is like a knife gliding over butter on an empty road.....What comfort, aesthetics, power, Ac, luxuries, etc for like the cost of what 15% more than Indica...... 1 good thing about this car. My wife and kid travelled during the night and the damn driver fell asleep on the expressway. The car crashed....nothing happend to them,... Till today I am sure GOD saved them, but not sure if the car was blessed.........
