Hello Guys, I been coming tomouthshut for last 2 year, read almost all the reviews on the cars. Although I amelectronics engineer but have a passion for cars.
In my family we have 4 cars (2-WagonRLxi, 1- IKON 1.6 Zxi and 1- Indica V2 DLS) and all the cars are almost 3-4yrsold and most of them have covered around 35000 KM.
But I must admit Indica is the WORSTof the lot.
People who are buying or thinkingof buying the Indica is mainly falling for its looks, some features and costeffectiveness of Diesel.
The car lacks power, it almost godead when driven with AC. To accelerate with AC you either have to shift downor turn the AC off for that moment. Turningthe AC On and Off frequently show problems with the AC, the Cooling Fan and electricalsystems.
During monsoon you will findproblem with its Dynamo system due to the water logging.
( I had to repair my dynamoarmature twice)
Having this car is like spendinglots of time in garage. Every new problem crops up every alternate day. And spending lots of money along with it.
To provide you a short comparison,
Suppose you traveling 60Km/day
With Indica you spend Rs164approx ( 13kmpl and Rs 35.4/l of Diesel)
With WagonR you spend Rs 212 approx (14.5km/land Rs 51/l of petrol)
For 20day running you spend Rs 3280 for Indica but Rs 4240 forWagonR The difference is about Rs960/ month.
But the main problem is the maintence cost of4yr old WagonR is almost Zero but for Indica it around Rs1500/month atleast +your time/ headache in the garage and also take into consideration the amount,which you paid more to buy this diesel car over the petrol car of that segment.
Taking all these thinks intoconsideration just sit and think for a while.
Guys trust me, don’t go for thiscar. After doing only 34250Km for my Indica work on the suspension needed to bedone (which will be around Rs11000).
You can go for this car if youare thinking of selling it off after 1 year or 15000 KM or using it as business purposes (taxi).
