I read a few experiences of this car before and thought I should share mine over here.

I did check a few cars (Zen, Palio, Alto, etc) before I settled for the Indica V2 Petrol (LSi). I have to say the looks are stunning and the paint work, tail lamps, spoiler, etc are great. In-fact I had more problems with the dealer than the car!

The dealer was a big cheat who tried to tell me that the rear spoiler was put in by his generosity and cost Rs 3800 whereas I found that it was a standard accessory on all the Petrol versions. The dealer - Koyenco Motors based in Kannur, Kerala is so crap that I would not recommend anyone to go near them if they have to buy an Indica.

Now to the car itself ? I have now driven it for about 1200 Kms in less than a month and am pretty happy with it. It?s a quiet car (found the Diesel version snoring like a lorry) and the driving comfort is above average on bad roads although the power steering is not too great. It could be more responsive. The Maruti models definitely outscore on this front. The car has good height clearance and ample leg room and I found that getting over humps was really very smooth. The mileage is a little poor but I guess with a 1400cc engine and not very good roads in India, you cannot expect much more. I might have not got more than 7/8 Kml on city roads. The fabric seats are good & comfortable and the space inside is awesome. I have not found another car in its class with such good space inside. The A/C is also good for its class and did not cause any hindrance to the driving comfort while it was ON.

The one thing I found a bit boring is the quality of the products used inside the car. The dash-board, steering column, hand-brake all looks very cheap and plastic oriented. The height of the seats in comparison to the gear position is also not proportioned well and a tall person will have a sore shoulder after a long ride. Like I found out! The dull grey interiors also do not do justice to the outside beauty and finish.
