Apologies for hijacking this section, as this write up does not talk so much about the car, as it does by the dealer from which I have bought the vehicle. It could help people who plan to buy their Tata vehicles from this Bangalore based dealer. (The reason I am posting this here, is that the dealers name does not feature in the Car Dealers in Bangalore list).

I would not be going into the details of what exactly happened with the dealer in this article, as there are a few issues to be resolved with them, depending upon which I would be writing another review with the complete details.

But just remember that there would be complete Volte-face on their part after the vehicle has been sold to you.

Its been 15 months since I have bought my Tata Indica Petrol, LSI. Before I hd bought the vehicle I had looked around other options within the 3.5 lac range, did some research and had finally zeroed on the Indica petrol.

One reason I had gone for the petrol version while the rest of the world was buying the diesel is that I have a very limited run everyday. After 15 months I have not even done 7500 kms. After having used the vehicle for this period, I would say that I am satisfied with the vehicle, but not with the dealers who have sold me the vehicle.

I strongly recommend new buyers to do a thorough check on the dealers from whom they are buying the vehicles. My experience with the dealers has not been even average to say the least.

The dealers and their service centers have been unable (to be read as unwilling) to fix the issues which have cropped up with the vehicle. Moreover their customer service managers have repeatedly lied through their teeth about the services which they offer. Their false claims have been so outlandish that it has made me think about visiting a consumer court to get my issues resolved.

I am from Bangalore and so is my dealer and is a company which has now been acquired by the Tata group. I would have had thought that their service quality would have had improved after that, which sadly is not the case.

More information on the same in just a few days.

Also the rating giving at the end is for the car, and not the dealer.
