I must say that I am the proudest owner of my magnesium gray colored TATA Xeta, LPG version. I did a lot of brain racking and researching while choosing my car and finally came to Tata besides considering wagonR duo, Chavy Spark, Santro Eco etc. but must say that this vehicle is all good in words. It has don 4800 kms in 4 months, ever since I got it on 26/12/2009. This is a practical car for big built and tall people with much space inside than much more costly cars in hatchback car section. I am generally running it on Gas, with a baffling mileage of 11 with full-A/C running in the city which I am sure would be more in highways (as I have not yet gone for any!!!). The car is very stable even in the speed of 90-110; EPS is great; 1200 cc power, AC is very nice and powerful. I found it is very good and comfortable on typical bad roads with not much jerking. One piece of advice would be- let it run for 1 to 2 kms on petrol while starting the car and after the sufficient lubrication of petrol in the pump a slight acceleration would change over to gas.
Overall it is very good car. Great blend of fun, practicality and value for your money, though not very fashionable( for its interior plastic quality) like Maruti variants of this small car segment. I strongly recommend this car to one who are looking for spacious, solid body, good ride and handling, cheaper car. I don’t see any other LPG version scoring anywhere higher than Xeta, especially when you consider the price that you pay for it. But there is problem with TATA that they are not marketing it properly like Santro ECO or WagnoR DUO.
I do not know why.
