I love this car. Best in mileage on highways it gives me 23kmpl and 18kmpl in local. Mine is a 2004 model.
I am always confident about this vehicles reliability. Never breaks down if proper care is taken.
Maintenance is low and even a road side mechanic can set it right. Very spacious but too many vibrations and sounds like a city bus.
But this is not the mistake of Tata, but with the diesel technology available at that time.
Starts in single ignition every time, but takes two times on heavily cold days.
Spares are cheap. No back pain even after long drives, I love this specialty very much. On highways you really can not feel the sound of engine. Pick up is OK.
