Here is my horror story with Tata Docomo 3g estick. I wish I had never got Tata Docomo. It has been so bad.
i) Issues in getting connection: You better avoid salesmen to buy the connections. They go with no instrument to the customers place and they never are on time. If you give them money, then you can forget your connection and money. Its better to go to a showroom.
ii) Address issues: The documents you have submitted are not properly uploaded into the system. They make data entry mistakes. Agents are not able to fix this issue. They keep doing 101 customer verification at the wrong address and finally say that they have disabled the connection because of verification failure.
iii) Call centre issues: The IVR never has recognized my MDN number
till date. Agents dont know how things work. They dont acknowledge our
problem. Easiest solution that they have is to tell us to call back
after 72 hours. If you ask for a supervisor, they put us on hold or
transfer us to a number where no supervisor picks up the call. This has happened to me all times I have called. I have not been able to reach a single supervisor. Agents
in the call centre or email support never call back or email back and
tell what they are doing with the problem clearly.
iv) Billing issues: I get a bill inspite of having had the service for
just a week or two and the connection being disabled now. The bill
cannot be opened because you need a password. And the password can be
obtained only with a Tata Docomo mobile.
v) Finally I get a survey. This survey opens up a site whose
security certificate has expired. The feed back section in the survey
can take as many characters which you enter. But then finally it says
it cannot submit the survey when you try submitting it.
vi) Technical issues: In the short period I had this connection, i
found that the connection kept dropping off. You will have to download
something atleast 10 times to be able to successful in downloading it.
The error messages that you get when the device cannot connect have a lot of spelling
mistakes or grammatical mistakes or both!!!
In short this is an absolute waste of money and time.
