Help & Support:

We had purchased the Hot Max in 2008 from  a dealer here in Bangalore. This model has glass rods connected with holes into the tank. Since it was of 200 ltr capacity the max. number of glass rods were 30 corresponding to the number of holes in the tank. We were not told that the tank needs maintenance from time to time by the dealer we purchased it from, since our bore-well water is hard water. Now the tank has leakages at a few places where the rods are inserted into the tank. I called the dealer who sent his service person for inspecting the tank.

This service guy after inspecting said that the solar is now scrap. You will not get even Rs.1000/- by selling it and the model has been stopped by the company. We had spent Rs. 30000/- for it when we purchased it. What can be done in this case? What is recommended for hard water? Can the company  do anything about it? Can we only get a tank with not much investment which is compatible with the glass rods? What could be the cost involved?
