Well I didn't have quite a lot of expectations from this movie, and I guess that helps a lot in liking a movie these days. And I was pleasantly surprised with the smile that this 120 minute entertainer managed to bring to me.
Though you find it hard to digest Tanu aka Tanuja Trivedi's(Kangna Ranaut) character as well as how can someone fall in love-at-first-sight with a sick girl who is not in her senses, you still kindda like all the characters. Kangna plays the role of a loud lass pretty well and Maddy(Manu aka Manoj Sharma)seems to be cut-out for the gentle look.
Jimmy Shergil(Raja) doesn't have the looks of a goon, still looks convincing.
The most important part of the movie is the unassuming and ubiquitous Pappi ji(Deepak Dobriyal). Take him out of the movie and the whole movie will fall flat on its nose.
Eijaz Khan, the heartthrob of all T.V watching girls(which is why lots of guys hated him) playing Manu's chaddi-buddy, Jassi is zany.
Whats refreshing in this movie is that it gives you a feel of the nation, exploring small places and carries of the finicky details pretty well, something that you normally miss in love story entertainers. The plot also packs some twists which really surprises you.
All in all, a nice feel-good one time watch movie with some foot-tapping music(speciall saddi gali and Jugni ) as well as a soulful number'Yu hi' by Mohit Chauhan that is packed hither-tither in parts.
You won't miss your money.
(comments awaited, its only my second review)
