Understandably, Kochi doesn't offer a wide range of dining options as one would expect of some of India's other cities, yet amongst what we have, Tandoor happens to be one of my favourites.
Snuk away, close to the center of town, Tandoor provides truly authentic(yes, not one of those fake immitations we're so accustomed to) North Indian cuisine. There are a wide range of dishes avaliable, and if you find the food at Tandoor too mild for your taste, you can pop upstairs and sample some sizziling andhra food, which will definately set your tongue on fire!
Back to Tandoor, what really works for me about this place is its location. After wearing myself out, shopping around MG road, I find this the perfect place to satisfy my hungry tummy. I really don;t feel in the center of town that there are any restaurants which provide such great food, along with great service for such low prices. And if you can't be bothered to make the trip to Tandoor, they have a home delivery option. Talk about being convenient.
My favourite dish happens to be the mutton shahi khorma(I dunno why its spelt like that..shouldn't it be kurma?). I have travelled far and wide, and yet am I to try mutton KHORMA, as tantalizingly tasty as the one served here. Besides this, as another reviewer clear emphasized, the kadai chicken is a MUST TRY.
So, make a trip to Tandoor, I am certain you won't be dissapointed.
