A Friend in England was kind enough to mail me the August 29, 2002, (the 34th issue), of TAKE A BREAK Magazine. This is a Weekly Magazine and is number 10 on the best Magazine

list in the UK. It is almost 2 years old.

I have been so busy trying to win money for her, (we did win one scratch and win), but trying to solve all of the 15 puzzles, (I've managed to solve 6 so far), that I have not had time to read all of the articles yet.

I am sure it will take me a few weeks to finish the 60 pages in the Magazine. It is so full of interesting things that I can't believe it only costs 68p for an issue. A similar Magazine in Canada would cost well over $3.00.

~O ON THE FRONT COVER O~

There is a beautiful blond Lady who they don't identify. Probably in the UK she's famous but I've never seen her before.

They tell you about the things you can win such as a car or a trip to Australia or Mauritius.

The feature Stories are: ''She made me into a human cash machine'', ''Eek, my Gary's having our baby'', When a mum loves the son who beats her'', ''I was the bride with no hair'' and ''Poison in her baby's milk. How could she?''

~O INSIDE THE MAGAZINE O~

1) The first two pages of pictures with small articles. These are under the heading of ''Take A Break''. I loved the old grey haired Lady sitting on a huge bench in Germany. I know the bench was built bigger than a normal one, (we have a chair in Red Deer, Alberta that gives you the same illusion), but I thought she was cute.

I got fooled by the heading of ''Mark gets Stripping''. I thought he would be a dancer who stripper but he was just stripping his wall paper off.

On the right side of the second page is a list of what is included in this issue.

2) The first article I read was ''The Truth Behind Nina's Big Wedding.'' In case you read this Magazine I won't tell you much about it but I will tell you it didn't happened as they planned it.

4) ''The Brainwaves Road Show'' was great. You know how I love tips and that's what this page is about. It's no longer in the Magazine because I've put it in my Memory Book. Oh well you convinced me to tell you just one:

Pat Murray from North Yorkshire sent in this tip, (than I am planning to use tonight), ''I've always loved to eat off warm plates, but I found that if I put them in the oven with the food on them they were too hot to handle. So now I arrange the plates in a row on top of my radiator while I am cooking. When I am ready to serve the food they are the correct temperature.''

5) Next are two pages of ''Boolywood Fashion'' that you can use in the summer or take on winter trips because each item looks so light I think you could pack all 9 items in a carry on bag and still have room for your make-up. They aren't Sari's from India, (that I could find a large sizes to wear), but clothing made from ''sari looking material and are much to small for a large Woman to wear. I did like the shoes and the bags.

6) ''Heart Beat'' is four pages about Medicine. I've just glance at this and haven't read the articles yet. I did read one called ''Don't Get Your Knickers In A Twist'' because it is about counting our blessing and not dwell on things in the past.

7) ''My Secretes'' is the next topic and these a letters, (of a personal nature), to David Hale who they say is Britain's Number one advice Columnist. I did read these because I love to know secrets but I never tell anyone a secret about another person. Therefore all I will tell you is the letters are about Gay People, falling in love with your best Friends Husband and Child Porn.

8) There are 2 pages of recipes that use herbs. They all look delicious but since I haven't tested them I won't recommend them to you.

9) I did read my Horoscope that Dena writes under the topic called ''Life Stars''. She wasn't correct about my life at this time.

10) ''Magic Makeovers'' was very interesting and I found a few tips that I could use. I may cut my hair after reading this!

11) Liz Wilde's ''Beauty Lab'' is another question and answer page. I did learn how to remove my ''fake tan''. It was beginning to get patchy.

~O WHAT'S LEFT TO READ O~

I haven't had time to read ''Who Snared Themself'', ''Reader' Reality'', ''Special Effects'', (is about places to take a Vacation), ''Readers Confidential'', ''Prizes Without Puzzles'', ''You Lazy So-And-So'' and ''Eek, My Husband Gary's Having Our Baby''.

~O SOME THOUGHTS O~

If I lived in the UK I would defiantly be buying this Magazine. It is full of ideas, some interesting article, a few naughty things and all those prizes you can win.
