The Taj Mahal Tea House by Hindustan Uniliver opened a week ago.
The massive 3, 500 sq feet area has multiple hideouts where you can curl-up with a book without being disturbed by the servers. The cafe/restaurant is divided into multiple small sections to facilitate meetings, reading, working or even a game of chess.
The classical instrumental music might remind you of Indian weddings, but it’s unobtrusive. The framed photographs of legendary classical musicians and a few classical instruments on the shelves give a feel of standing in a music-lover’s house.
