Shah jahan took about 22 years to make this after the death of his beloved wife. Shah jahan make monument near the bank of river call yamuna. Few people knew about this that shah jahan choosen this place was old shiva temple. Mumtaz begum was burried some other place and after the complete work of taz mahal, mumtaz begum was burried in the Taz mahal. So people called this place a monument of love. Shah jahan cut off the hands of the makers. Stones are bring from the makarana marbles. But after this her son arrest him for making foolish. And soon after the shah jahan took in the jail and after some times he died in the jail.
