Review : A retinue of 80 waiters trooped into the ballroom in perfect sync with each other,akin to the independence day parade of the military.Each one of them was carrying a plate well laid out with continental delicacies which was a feast to the eye as much as it was for the tummy.
The above occasion was when I was part of that team of waiters who were serving the Queen of ENGLAND and her retinue alongwith the who`s who of chennai and many other parts of the country.I fell in love with the hotel right at that moment. The ball room in which this event unfolded is one of its kind.Their other restaurants are also tastefully decorated with a calm and pleasant ambience. Taj is known for its hospitality and the taj coramandel is no exception, for after that eventful night in the year 1997, I have visited that hotel many times as a guest and have been pampered with all the ''taj'' hospitality that there is. Now to the best part - yes you guys guessed it right THE FOOD.Delectable,exotic,feast for your eyes,just the right portion size ..et al.
One thing to note is that you sure will loose a few pounds even after that sumptous meal for the omnipresent bill will surely empty your wallet of all its prized contents.Weak hearted individuals are advised not to look at the bill when presented, slowly open the bill folder and slip in your credit card, that ways the fun of the food would stay with you for the next 30 days or so till your credit card statement comes through. enjoi good things in life, bisit the Taj Coramandel. barus
