Don't stay here. Review on Taj Banjara, Hyderabad

It's an elevation less building that welcomes you through the Taj Banjara drive way. I certainly wouldn't mind staying even if it's a mud house(leave alone the elevation less building!) as long as it is clean and comfortable.The so called 'lake ' adjoining the hotel is sewage water body, green in color and reeking of foul smell.the room had balcony, but it's door  had been closed, with a sticker on the glass pane stating "The door has been closed to keep out insects and flies".The real reason is, if that door remains open, one wouldn't be able to stay in the room, because of the smell! I cut down my stay here by days after staying two days in this hotel.It's a typical *sarkari *office atmosphere.The corridor carpets are old , dingy and screaming for maintenance. On the very first day, during my  breakfast I found  a fly in my food! The juice ordered was spoiled, fermented and down right disgusting.

The manager there was an old man, I really didn't feel like having a heated argument !The floor manager came and apologized for it. They sent fruits and chocolates to make up for the mistake.The chair in room was old and made noise every time someone sat on it! I was afraid I might fall! The toilet basin was choked , though it was duly fixed, I wonder why does a so called 5 * star hotel charging 5 digit room rent has such problems in the first place!I thought of having a swim in the pool, but seeing the quality of the hotel, I thought it was best avoided .Just didn't seem safe enough. Moreover the pool has a depth of 3 ft! I mean common! 3ft?Kids' pool have a depth of 3 ft!

I certainly do not recommend this place.There are far better options available here in Hyderabad.
