Even 10 stars and 1000 awards would fall short for this movie which can be no way counted below being a classic. May be it is in the top tiers of classic lists if we compile today. Walls of heart feeling moistened, so your eyes and nasal tract .
After watching this movie you feel a strange sense of sensibility inside you a feel of goodness and really an elevated view and care for children, teachers and parents in this age of society where innocence is being killed by the irresponsible acts of society which makes us to hear news like the Gurgaon School Killing or Gangrape of a fellow classmate of class 8th by classmates in western UP's Meerut.
*The alarms are ringing and we need to put check, evaluate who is doing the criminal acts in fact. Is our irresponsible conduct being indirect demonstrations for more smarter observers in the children? Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Pe comes in such a time and makes us understand very well that how much important it is to look back to your child in correct way so that we gift a wonderful, respectful and really humane world to the coming generation, and all is in our hand.
No doubt that Tare Zameen Pe is an extra-ordinary film, which will be always counted as a milestone in Indian Cinema in every way.
Excellent plot narrated excellently: It's not just about the dyslexic children but about every child's mind. Yes the case of a dyslexic child is considered here as a templete to make you feel and understand the level of care of may need to give to children, to understand their world, how they see a paint or a mickey mouse cartoon or fish and how they wrap their world around them . a gifted ability of imagination far away from violance and abuse, soft in every sense, and perhaps better thanmature adults who in the same time are failure to understand them while blame those little children for every collapse, put them to a harsh world of slaps, abuse, unnecessary competitions and impart their own complexes to these small children, who in future grow up with all burdens and instead of making the world a beautiful painting, contribute to the majority of population creating the same world as a battle ground for survivalbecuase every one wants to be called as "the best", get his complex respected and recognized in terms of awards, marks, shields, salary hike!
We keep on adding to the second view of this world: It's a battlefield instead of the first and corect one .it's actually a garden and every generation has to make it mroe beautiful .and **perhaps we don't understand this or have no time to do so and this is why we find Gurgaon school killing like incidences getting frequent coverage in the dailies.
To add a big plus, this all which I mentioned above has been narrated in such an intelligent and non-preachy way that you would take the message in your head and feel it deeply.
TZP takes up the story of a dyslexic child Ishaan who is a subject of conjusted time factor of this busy world, where his world stands as a nonesense while in actual his intelligence is much superior than normal children. This conflict of world becomes larger as Ishaan finds himself and his world unacceptable by the majority of people including his dad and teachers, he is constantly proved wrong in everything which breaks his confidence and then one day he meets a man who was able to look into his mind and world and find the truth.
It's this able teacher who starts reconstructing the broken personality of Ishaan, make him feel he is as good as others, improves his abilities and proves what a true teachers means to be. How much big responsibility a teacher owns for the world and how he can add to make this world more civilized and beautiful.
TZP is a call for everyone and more for becoming an Ideal teacher on whom the fate of hundreds of innocent souls depend and future of the comign world depends. It is a question to all maths teacher who make children fear maths instead of makign it full of fun, or literature teachers who convert them boring otherwise, making craftsmenship and painting classes like time to burst your frustration over children for being a teacher of subject which is considered as useless by other fellow teachers instead of seeing them as the future architects, town planners or engineers! It questions manythings and shows what can be done and what you are doing! Brilliant.
A movie of 100% performance:Be it the small kid Ishaan, or his dad mom or even thsoe class teachers or any small kid, every one has given a life time performance. I will not belittle them discussing their capabilities. Aamir Khan .for him my words fall short in every sense. The whole movie was like a symphony .for which everything should stand at same level to get it correct and beautiful and it has been achieved. No shortage from any side!Still the small child Ishaan needs special mention for setting up high standrd of acting which even present day so called superstars Kings or Khiladis would find very useful to learn and improve themselves, so much perfection was in his expressions!
Direction, Techies and Music:As told you above, any level of rating or praise would fall short for Aamir Khan for this one which is in fact his directorial debut. It's unbelievable and same time genearates immense respect for this actor which I think we have hardly for any of his contemprory co-stars in present days. Handling such a movie and script need extreme sensibility, vision, capacity, truthfulness and intelligence. A single point fault would have converted this classic into a crap be it performance, sets, music anything .I told you that it was a symphony which required everything at equal frequency to get the true beauty and what a job Aamir Khan has done in every sense.I was not a big fan of him but today I salute him, I have become an 100% hardcore fan of him for showing such a high degree of sensibility and intelligence which will be benchmark for every actor and filmmaker of Indian film industry. Salutes to Mr. Amir Khan!
Songs are good and I liked the Maa song very much. Script by Apte has been impeccable and cinematography and screenplay too have been superb. The camera speaks for the director be it shades, angle as well as editing has been excellent.what else a director would ask for the depth of perfection?
*Final words: Even If you have only Rs 100/- left in your packet and you have arranged the bread butter for the entire month, make sure that this Rs 100/-(with margin of error allowed) you INVEST on this movie. It will be really your achievement and you will thank me for this advice.
Go and watch this movie and help the children around you to grow like the beautiful flowers of this worldly garden, which ceratinly not a battlefield. We all need to bless them with real best things and give a wonderful human to the coming generation where no innocence is lost. It's time to mend our faults be it teachers or be it Parents.
In everyway this movie emerges out as the best movie of the year, best performances of the year and deserves to be seen by every movie goer and even able non-goers!
