I was never an ardent Aamir Khan fan...but TZP has grown in me immense respect for the man...aha!!...not as an Actor..but as a Director!!TZP(Taare Zameen Par) is one of the BEST films I have seen in 5 years...Believe me....
TZP works on each and every level which goes in making an "Outstanding" film...But the 2 departments that overcome everything...Darsheel's performance and the Grip of the film..A performance that will be remembered for ages to come...Probably the best performance of 2007...
Darsheel Safary is an ACTOR born!!Note the sequences.....The fight sequence and the emotions that follow, the school sequence, the hostel scenes in the song "Maa" and the painting sequence(Climax)...You know that child has power!!
Even a film like this...is dangerous to make...It can tend to get boring after a while....but that's not the problem here.....On the top of it....you dont want to remove your eye-lids from the screen and your body from the seats!! It is a powerful film where emotions play a major role...It is an enlightening film with entertainment.....It has got the power to change mind-sets about children.....The film punches you right on your face where you would be underestimating your child to be foolish...but P.S--NO CHILD IS FOOLISH!!!
It also gives the guidance how to treat a Dislexyia suffered person....beating up a child is no solution.
It also hits you like a ton of bricks..especially those over ambitious parents who themselves could not do anything...and want their children to be Doctors, Engineers and M.B.A 's!!!!
Aamir Khan score 100 points on 100 for swimming against the tide and making a film...which should be seen by each and every individual....Bravo Aamir...You have a long way to go.The Script is the King for TZP...Amol Gupte needs a pat on his back....Even the reasearch for the treatment of Ishan...and comparing him with great personalities like Agatha Christie and Abhishek Bachchan(who all suffered the problems of reading and writing)...Well done!!
Music is another high-point..."Maa" makes you cry and "Khole khole" makes you enthusiastic. TZP clearly and clearly belongs to Darsheel...no any opinions on that...The kid knows to act..and about that...."Koi doubt mat rakhna dilm mein"!!! He has a long way to go...A National Award should satisfy his performance.
Aamir Khan excels as the teacher....You just want to go and hug him for what he is doing.Everyone excel in their respective parts..
At the end, TZP should be sent to the oscars!!
