I love these serial it is one of the best serial of television in which we laugh a lot with family. These is the serial in which we can wath with our family and laugh. And the jethalal is one of tha finest actor in the serial. His acting skills is mind blowing I jist watch these because of the jethalal.
It is based on the day to day life of its members. The society members are from different Indian cultures& communities and still they live together in peace and harmony. They celebrate festivals with each other. There are lots of characters on the show& every character is unique and funny. The story revolves around the Jethalal and his family. There is a kids party called as Taapu Sena. The thing I love in this show is, it teach us how different religions people can live together in peace. Laugh and Learn. Totally Recommended.
But this extremely well scripted and performance driven sitcom which had issues touching our soul soon turned sour. Trust me this was a big led down for me too . Repetitive jokes, Unrealistic suggestions and above all, their never ending FESTIVALS, soon started fading its brand . As it started gaining popularity, the writer and director simply started cashing on it . It's basic plot which revolves around the common man is missing since nearly a year . What a shame to someone which was once thought to be a worthy successor of the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai! And after that they started a new trend, inviting superstars for promoting their films . Honestly tell me, how many of us see Shahrukh Khan or Ajay devgn wandering around our house . Though the heart is still in right place the dialogues have lost their crisp and performances are not upto the mark. It is sad that such a well intentioned story with such a lot of good performers is succumbing to monetary gains and not art .
The situational comedy in excellent and is based on daily life events in the life of the protagonists. Jethalal's infatuation with Babita, mishaps with Bapuji, Jetha's interactions with Bhide and Iyer(and occasionally with the kid Goli), and the Gada Electronics scenes are frequent and often on expected terms but never fail to amuse the viewer, that too in the best possible way always. Nothing about these aspects of the show ever feels clichéd or forced humour. However, there are dull moments too where the humour dips, and it happens every time during the transition between two storylines.
Jethalal and Bapuji are the heart of the show in terms of acting. Their comic acting is better than even Bollywood standards of comedy. The show started with seemingly very inexperienced actors such as the Mehtas and the Sodhis. And they are still mediocre in the way they act, especially the new Sodhis. Scenes featuring the Mehtas are irritating to say the least.
Why watch it: Because your relationship with this show will be just like any human relationship. It won't always amuse you and keep you happy. Nor will it bore you so much one day that you break up with it forever. This show will have its dull times every now and then, but you will always return to it because there is no other show in Hindi right now with evergreen comedy and characters, plus having a family appeal. Other shows become dull because their comedy gets dull; this show becomes dull only because the dullness is part of the story, and the humour that follows will again be of the same standards.
So I really recommended it and I don't miss any episode of these serial. In last its wonderful.
