In this age of television where you get serials about child marriages, choti bahus, wedding album in the disguise of tv serials, dark and fair discrimination which almost makes average sane person puke when he turns on the tv and that provokes viewer to ask for a change a much abused word under obama and which is provided day after day by this serial
tarak mehta ka ulta chasma is a daily satirical serial which is based on a popular column written in a gujrati weekly of same name written by tarak mehta.the serial basically is a light hearted comedy which deals with everyday issues in a comical fashion and in the end also give a message which does not appear forced, preached and goes in with the flow of serial.the best part about the serial is that it really provides entertainment and is clean as comedy and also gives the message of national integration as people of various states and region exist peacefully and happily in a society it gives isnt slapstick so my advice to all those who are looking for stress free entertainment to watch this serial which airs every weekday at 8.30 pm on sab tv
the storyline in the serial mainly revolves around jethalal who is a electronics trader and his family comprising his slightly idiotic but funny wife dayaben, his mischievious son tapu and upright father champak who considers jethalal a fool and problems they encounter and create for others there also are characters of writer tarak mehta and his wife anjali who are brightest of all and to whom people of society turn for advice, marathi teacher who also is miser, inter religious couple of a sardar and parsi lady, annoying reporter popatlal, a very fat doctor who loves food and a model like lady married to a dark skinned tamilian after whom jethalal is crazy in all all this characters add to confusion and create problems which in turn forms crust of the storyline

jethalal-dilip joshi is quite natural and funny as jethalal
daya-disha vakhani undoubtedly is the star of the show and her trademark laughter adds to the comic quotient
bhide-mandar chanwadekar is good as the stingy and annoying marathi teacher
tarak-shailesh lodha plays sutradhar on the show and also adds normalcy to a crazy show
anjali mehta is ok as taraks wife
bhavin wadia is good and confident as jethalals mischievious son
