This is a review after riding 1800kms in 2.5months and completed one service

Pros:

  1. 12 inch wheel front and back which no other scooter offers. Some of the others offer 12inch only in front wheel. This gives better ride over certain types of bad roads.

  2. Suspension is better than activa in the rear.

  3. Seats offer better cushioning reducing the bad road effects. However the seat takes the contour of your bum which kind of gives a odd feeling

  4. Blue lit digital meter(but has cons. see below)

  5. External fuel lid

  6. Engine is smooth between 10 to 30km/hr speed and 45 to 60km/hr.

It is coarse otherwise

  1. Didnt really find body balance standout during rides. I am sure most other scooters are nearly neutral in body balance.

  2. Headlight intensity and throw on road is better than Activa. Though the intensity goes down when engine is at low RPM.

  3. The great mileage question. Before first service it was around 45km/ltr. After that it is around 52 km/ltr. My ride is in Bangalore city from JP Ngr to Hebbal a distance of 25 km which has 50% smooth fast ride, 30% bumper to bumper traffic and rest average traffic.

Cons:

  1. Some design elements are bad. In fact TVS deliberately kept these design.

For example, the front part of the body angles steeply back near the knee. So slight tall riders will keep hitting their knee to this part causing knee soreness.

  1. The digital meter is great technology but not practical. You cannot see the speed indicator in daylight. The letters on display are too small.

  2. The digital fuel indicator is scary  when it nears the last 1 bar and suddenly it starts blinking. You are not sure how many kms the wego will run. So I have to rush to the nearest petrol bunk even though it is not my preferred petrol bunk.

  3. Another poor design is the back allround guard/fender. At the back it has only single  screw/holder to fix. This does not provide enough support and I have seen many Wegos with this guard getting bent sideways and incidentally to the right!  It gives a bad look to the Wego.

Hope TVS design engineers take note.

Hope I have covered my review well and you benefit from it.
