I bought this vehicle in July 2010 and there has been design problem as follows:
Inside the utility box which covers the carburettor assembly is touching the accelerator cable at a certain point during the movement of the handlebar. This results high acceleration without raising the throtle.
This was brought to the notice of TVS mechanic and Owner Mr Subbaraju and Mr Verma at Puttaparthi TVS showroom.
This has been persisting since then even after the third service, the mechanic applied insulation tape over the acceleration cable which was already damaged due to rubbing.
I requested him to replace the cable and inform you to take remedial action incase there is a deficiency in design. Also, the spare acceleration cable is not available with the dealer.
We also sent a mail to TVS - service.support@tvsmotor.co.in on 17th February 2011, however there is no reply or acknowledgement till this posting. We also followed reviews of Overdrive and Autocar India of January 2010 and we are very much disappointed and dissatisfied.
