There is a big issue with the bike that's not going to be evident within the first few years, but after about 4-5 years the petrol tank starts to rust or lets say "ROT" and this is a common issue .
The petrol lid is also not the best to retard water seepage during monsoons . You will notice that the lid lock gets very hard after a couple of years .
The second issue is the quality of the tyre used is poor, they are very skiddy and prone to punctures . This is a potential life risk . I was forced to get the tyre/ tube combo changed .
Ever since the skidding issue and the frequent punctures belong to the past. But my Bike has developed multiple small perforations in the petrol tank and I have stopped riding it, I am looking to dispose it off now . the last time when these perforations surfaced I got them welded but now I think time is ripe that I get rid of my bike now .
In the deep winters you will find that starting your victor glx can be a task and the same happens even if you don't ride the bike on a regular basis .
The brakes and the chain will come loose from time to time . The pickup is also nothing I can boast off.
I don't even remember how many times the main lock of my bike has given me some trouble . It just gets stuck as if held by some adhesive and budges only to a few sprays of wd40 and multiple nudges, so much so that I always used to carry a WD40 with me all the time .
I have also run into wheel alignment issues.the shock absorbers go flat after 2 years of moderate use .
So whats impressive about it? well maybe the use of multiple colors and design .
It does not carry a very masculine look nor does it have a timid look . The machine is heavy enough to move or balance with bare hands, its not exactly light-weight.
The average is quite average too .(about 40 kmpl).
In a nutshell I had a hard time riding this one, now its even tougher to dispose it .
