Recently ,I test rode the New TVS Victor EDGE.The bike now looks cool from most angles thanks to the gorgeous mag wheels and the radical Tyre Combo!!The bike I rode was of black-silver dual tone colour which looked good.

I went with my friend to test drive the new bike.He drives the new Discover. So we wanted to check out the performance difference between the two bikes. All u guys must be wondering why we would be comparing a 11.3 bhp bike to a paltry 9.2 bhp made by the new TVS offering.Well,I have a TVS Victor 110 and it is doing pretty well to keep me and my friends happy for last 3 1/2 years. Now here's the catch !! Me and my friend(Discover) usually race and guess what ,my bike screws the Discover in Roll-on times(i.e at any speed over 30km/hr till 80km/hr in 3rd and 4th gear). We (including Discover guy) are amazed at the brisk acceleration of the Victor which makes only 8.1 bhp and has already clocked 23000kms!! I think the TVS RACING TEAM guys had made this bike:) The Discover gets the lead only after 80-85km/hr.(Please somebody inform the Overdrive Guys!!)

PERFORMANCE :)-

Now about the new EDGE we were eager to test ride it as we didn't like the GLX125' s performance.Well I grabbed the keys and it started in the first kick and I liked the muted exhaust note.I shifted on the 1st gear and just cracked the throttle wide open and it pulled maniac-ly and then I shifted on the gears gradually and after 6-7 seconds, noticed the speedo and It was doin well over 60km/hr and after shifting to 4th gear the bike pulled to 80km/hr in no time.Remember, the showroom guy was pillion. The Exhaust note changed to a healthy one with absolutely no vibrations and engine noise.I could only take the bike to that speed as there was traffic jam. I doubt the top-end performance as the bike shoots all of its 10nm torque at only 4000 rpm!!Discover puts off its 11.01 nm torque at 6000 rpm which helps it in top end power. Then came the turn of the Discover guy, he came back after testing and was he smiling ?? Hell!! YES and he instantly told me that he liked the EDGE much better than Discover.ALL OUR FEARS WERE DISCLOSED WHEN WE RODE THE DISCOVER NEXT AND IT FELT TERRIBLY UNDERPOWERED COMPARED TO THE VICTOR IN INITIAL PICK UP.I am not saying that Discover's performance is bad but the Edge's low end torque is so good that we have to say that. That makes the Victor a really good city bike whereas the Discover is more of a topend performer.

RIDE AND HANDLING :) The bike exhibits EXCELLENT road manners like all TVS Bikes and it's rightfully nicknamed as ''Traffic Cutter''. The handling is immensely helped by the Longer Wheelbase , Revolutionary Tyre Configuration (90/90* 17'' front and 3.00'' *18 rear) and also by the AIR SUSPENSION called as NITROS-3.The bike showed superb damping abilites and it has now lost the wallowy nature of the previous Victors.

MILEAGE :) It is best to know about the mileage from the owners. But the show room guy said it would be somewhere around 65-70km/l.According to me it could easily achieve these figures.

''WEIRD'' Handlebar-Foot Peg Relationship because of lowered rider seat with step for pillion has spoiled the party which is the only grouse I could find with my short stint with this lovely bike.It could have been better if they could have lowered the handlebar as well.

So Guys here is my experience with the New Victor EDGE.I think most of u would find it helpful.
