I had a total of four shoguns in various times. I have one in my garage now also. I am now in Abu Dhabi. The Suzuki shogun was introduced in 1993 by tvs and its collaborator Suzuki of Japan. The sleek and beautiful looks and the 2 stroke engine overhauled the expectations of the power bikes. Yamaha RX 100 bite the dust before it in many rally circuits. The black coloured engine is terrific and the multi-port engine is very capable. The fuel consumption is high due to its roaring power. The single cylinder with mikuni carburettor performed exceedingly well.It is phased out later. But the Suzuki  shogun I loved in in my heart for ever..The most powerful bike of its kind as advertised then.

After 2000, the catalytic converter, shogun came and in its advertisement I saw in auto India magazine is ALL FIRE NO SMOKE True to the words. Its tricone megaphonic silencer  was tuned to the city conditions. The research and development was done by Japanese engineers at that time.A very handsome bike and powerful . It was as I am also very handsome. It blended with me very well.Later I had pulsar, splendor and many motor bikes and scooters I had owned. The multi port single cylinder engine was a behemoth in its power category of two strokes at that time and for ever. The fuel guzzler was and is very handsome in many aspects. The thump, the crude sound, engineered by the Japanese is music to my heart and for many enthusiasts world wide. The 14 break horse power 2 stroke monster is a kind among all in its category. The fuel hungry engine some times gave me 8 or 14 kms per litre and some times it will go up to 40 km per litre also.

To display the raw two stroke power in front of people is very dangerous. The extreme caution is needed in this regard.True to the words of the then advertisement it is called THE BOSS. A power behemoth of gigantic proportions from Suzuki motor corporation Japan, truly.
