The Gentle Power Bike. Review on TVS Suzuki Fiero FX

This is a very sensitive issue, ''commenting over the bike performance, where many owners are of different bikes. I must make it clear that the following observations are just upto myself.

I have recently tested 4 bikes: 1) Pulsar DTS1-150, 2) Honda Unicorn 3) Fiero 4) Apache. In overall I found the Fiero as the best bike in all. I have the following reason.

I have been using these bikes for past 2 years except Apache. Pulsar-150 ( 2 years of use) is absolute crowd puller with solid engine sound and power. But to be cared of, Pulsar has got poor body balance and engine strength. It takes better pick up than remaining bikes, enthralls a lot on high speed and provides minimal security. The bike's life is not long and not a durable one. Still it is the number one bike of Indian road with highest number of sales. Look is killing and best. So well is the electricals.

Honda Unicorn ( One year of Use) has not struck the chord within the users. It is the best bike with it's smoothness and finnase. Unicorn's ride is most comfortable due to it's monoshock T - type structure and pick up almost equal to pulsar. Mileage makes it best among all bikes. Whatever the company claimed about the mileage it has performed and it has been very optimum bike. Rest of the parts are OK. Electricals are the best among the rest. I found Unicron as the 2nd best bike with look, pricing, performance and all.

Apache The rover without any destination has been marketted with good zeal. the bike is very compact and comparatively with highest acceleration and almost equal pick up to P-150 dtsi. But the balance is excellent. What you fear to dare with p-150 is achievable with Apache. But it will be not a great statement that ''Now or Never''. this is wrong. Like it's other bikes Apache electricals looks to be suffering in long run, with it's fragile body. TVS has really done no job in correcting it's fault here. TVS apache has got higher power than it's predecessor no doubt but is the costliest bike in all. the mileage is ok or assumed to be so with 55 something. the biggest advantage of APACHE above other bikes is it's torque, pick up and power. The sportness due to which fiero lost ground to pulsar has been tried here and this bike will score definitely.

Fiero-FX(150 CC) The Silent Hero Now or Never, TVS should have used this tag with Fiero isntead of Apache. I don't understand why did TVS decide to abandon this bike's production. Fiero-150cc is the most reliable bike I have ever used, with elegent performance superb mileage, best engine yet + best pricing and good power. TVS could have increased it's gear to 5th one and BHP by 1.5 units. But why did they closed it? A low profile high performance bike which looks a gentleman's bike. Fiero Fx has got looks , best and very strong headlight, good brakes and excellent balance and security, mileage between 55 - 60 KMS( 2yrs of use) and top speed of 105. Pick is good enough if not as much as the rest of the three. All mattered just due to that extra 1.5 BHP, but P-150 is closer. I think the gentleman look of fiero and sporty look of rest caused the lesser sale in the younger. This sporty look could have been awarded to Fiero instead of claiming all with Apache. This is in fact a negative attitude of the TVS itself that it is unable to respect the most respectable bike. Fiero like other TVS bikes is poor in electrical wiring and body.

In final verdict, I call fiero as the best among all these bikes. You can trust and think of passing good times higher than others with this bike, believe me. But when the producer himself has no morale how much the users can believe it with conviction. TVS has done really indedd by neglecting Fiero, the silent Hero
