I bought a suzuki Fiero in 2003, from Defence Canteen Stores. I was buying my first bike and wanted to go for splendor or a bike in its range but Dad was feeling generous so asked me to go for a bike I really liked.

I went for fiero because of the brand (TVS scooty had given us good performance) and the advertising too was very classy and attractive at that time.

Well 3 years down the line I am reasonably happy with the bike but I feel Pulsar would have been a better bet specially considering the prices are similar.

There are several things in favor of fiero like power, smooth comfortable ride and low maintenance.

However there are some weaknesses biggest one being the brakes............they leave a LOT to be desired....I simply cannot drive the bike fast with confidence because of the POOOOR BRAKES....I have already replaced the liner on the rear brakes twice.

Although disc brake option is available that does not mean the standard model should have such bad brakes.

The clutch wire has broken once and the clutch lever paint is BAD and leaves my fingers dirty & black everytime I ride.

Pick up is great and would have been better if the bike had not been so heavy. power really shows on inclines and riding uphill...simply great.

Another drawback is TVS tyres...they r bad and very very slippery.

I don't know about the newer models of fiero but I feel if you r gettin a cheaper 150 cc bike than the Fiero then go for it....If u have bought already, nothing to worry about...but nothing to feel great about either....
