UPDATE: I recently got the 3rd service done (5000KM). The mileage problem persists. It's 40 and thereabouts. The service people again say that 40 is the general rule and not an exception :-(.

There also seems to be some electrical issues. Like, the horn does't work when the engine is running. This problem is quite recurring. And finally, the seats feel really uncomfortable for rider for rides above 25KM stretch. For even shorter stretches, the seats are awkard for pillon who sit facing one side, like my mom and granny, as the seat length feels smaller than conventional to accomodate the fuel cap on the outside.

I purchased a Scooty Streak from Megdooth motors, Bangalore. It has been serviced twice and run about 2800Km by now.The first thing is about the mileage, it's terrible. Gives me only about 40. The dealer had promised 55Kmpl though the TVS company had rated it as 68Kmpl*, saying that 55 is the average city mileage.

I rode the vehicle as recommended, never crossing 40KMph for 600KMs but still the mileage is consistently at 40. I asked the dealer and he asked me to get it tuned, but the mechanic there privately told me that almost no streak gives better mileage.Even today after 2 services, it's giving me only 40. I fill only premium petrol and at trusted bunks.

I feel cheated as the mileage was almost the single most deciding factor. For a 80-odd cc vehicle giving only 40 is bad. I would have gone for a Suzuki Access 125. The same mileage but bigger engine capacity and a trustworthy brand.Handling, looks and others are quite good, but other problems am facing are electric ignition. After the 2nd service the battery seems to have lost charge (not recharged during the service??).
