It has been quite a few years since scooty pep plus has been launched. But for this speeding generation the vehicle has already become outdated. But at its time it was quite a buzz. Today let's talk about it. Coming to the design of the vehicle it is very simple and not so stylish. It has a headlight in the front and two additional lights which cannot be lit separately. So they cannot function as for lamps. There is a mobile charger port in the front which is a plus point of the vehicle. The silencer looks a bit nice with a chrome plate on it.
The space under the seat is not to large nor to small. A small lamp lights up as we open the seat which is quite useful in the dark. The performance of the the vehicle is okayish. The engine is not that powerful as the other modern ones bit it provides decent amount of power. The fuel efficiency was good. But over a period of time it diminishes gradually. Now it provides around 30kmpl which is a bad sign.
The comfort is the main drawback of the vehicle. The seat is quite hard and offers an awkward feeling to use it after using other vehicles. But it provides a better grip on the road than other vehicles. It is quite low and us God for people who are short. The acceleration response is very bad even after several services. A large helmet can't easily fit in the space under the seat. Only half helmets can easily fit in the boot space.
The service of TVS is quite impressive. We find their showrooms in almost all cities. But the services for this vehicles is quite useless as it does not make any difference. Sometimes the battery of the self starter fails completely just after service. The self starter itself failed within 6 months of the purchase of the vehicle. It is not at all suitable for long rides as it can any be used for city rides. If you are on a tight budget go for this vehicle otherwise you can go for the next model of scooty that the company has just started. Other alternatives are Honda activa, Vespa, Aviator and other vehicles which offer better riding experience than this vehicle. Even though pep us is not a very bad vehicle it has been let down by several factors such as comfort, riding experience, fuel economy, lack of features, etc. But still it is one of the many vehicles that we can see on road today.
