Saregamapa challenge is good, may be. But it is no challenge to shows like Indian idol or Fame Gurukul.
Indian Idol was the best talent show in India, and Indian Idol 2 is even better than the first one. Zee definitely was scared that their show would be a flop. So they came up with a solution! They thought of the popular concept mobile voting and started a show that was a rip off of Indian Idol.
And what's with the poor fashion sense on the show? Leather jackets, gawdy make-up? I can say that even the worst singer from Indian Idol is 10 times better than the ''mawaali taporis'' Zee TV is branding as ''singers''.
I have seen some of the episodes and I feel that the show is not well presented. Shaan, who had once felt that Indian Idol is all about drama and that his show is simple, is now himself trying to create some ''buzz'' in the show. What's with the fight with the judges?
The show(SaReGaMa) was very good in the beginning, it was a simple talent show. No drama, no voting, no makeovers. But now I feel that the greed for money has caused it to be an Indian Idol clone.
