I would like to start my revu wishing all my friends of MS a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year – 2006.
As its been quite a time since i've written a revu, so thought on this year my first revu should be on my fav. show, so here I am... :)
SAREGAMAPA Challenge 2005 is the challenge of voices, music, surtaal, talent of singing, magical mentors of the show and of course the challenge of SAREGAMAPA 2005 itself. It’s the musical reality show which is aired on Zee TV on Thursday and Friday, 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM (IST).
SAREGAMAPA is one of the oldest programmes on ZEE TV. It is a platform for all the talented aspiring singers to become singing sensations of tomorrow. SAREGAMAPA CHALLENGE 2005 is the new series of the oldest format with the modified title.
Host for the show is our own Shaan. He is the soul of this show. Shaan began his innings as the host of SaReGaMa in the year 2000 and he has carried the show on his shoulders very well with his wit, presence of mind and charming smile.
SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005 is the mega show started on with the auditions with 10 cities all over India and lakhs of participants came from all over the cities and “120 candidates” were short-listed and out of them “48” were selected and the process went on selecting the more talented “24” out of 48 candidates. These 24 candidates were merged with “8” wildcards holder who was the winner of the previous episodes of SaReGaMa and in total “32” participants was qualified to come on the stage for the show and prove themselves with their singing talent.
For the first time in the history of television, audiences are exposed to the onscreen rivalry amongst India’s leading Musical Maestros:- Aadesh Srivastava (composed the music for Baghban, Chalte Chalte & many more), Ismail Darbar (composed songs for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, Kisna, etc), Himesh Reshammiya (composed for the film “Aitraaz, Bardaasht, Dil Mange More, Humraaz, Tere Naam, etc) and Jatin-Lalit (composed music for Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Khiladi, DDLJ, etc). These 4 mentors are the best the music industry has to offer today.
The 32 participants were divided into 4 gharanas of these Magical Mentors. Each Gharana was having 8 contestants. The gharanas were also give the slogan, Aadesh Srivastav’s gharana is called as “JAI HO”, Ismail Darbar’s as “YALGAAR HO”, Himesh Reshammiya’s as “LET’S ROCK” and Jatin-Lalit’s “DUM HAI”.
This is one reality show that goes beyond the participants to a different level, a contest between the 4 mentors themselves. The mentors entered the battlefield armed with their respective teams in the quest to their Gharana to find the deserving winners and the battle will be over soon and the winner will be announced after few weeks.
The show is aired on Zee television every Thursday and Friday at 10:00 PM IST. Thursday is the elimination round and the one contestant who gets minimum vote by audiences is eliminated. Friday is the gala round.
On 12th Jan' 06 (Thursday) result, Nihira Joshi from Yalgaar Ho Gharana got eliminated from the show, as she got the least votes from audiences. It was very emotional round & quite shocking that Nihira got out but can't predict the another finalist to be out coz the all finalist are d best: --
Now the remaining 4 finalist at their respective gharanas are:
•Aadesh Srivastav’s (JAI HO): Himani Kapoor from Hariyana and Hemachandra from Hyderabad.
• Ismail Darbar’s (YALGAAR HO):Debojit Das from Silchar, Assam.
• Himesh Reshammiya’s (LET’S ROCK): Vineet Singh from Lucknow
• Jatin-Lait’s (DUM HAI): has been out from the show as there were no contestants left in their gharana.
NOTE: At earlier it was said that there will be two winner but now the format has changed and its clear that there will be only ONE winner of this talent hunt show.
SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005 is a golden opportunity for the winner. The one winner will be awarded a recording contract with a leading music company, and will get a luxury car and a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment in Mumbai city with all expenses paid by Zee tv for 2 years. And the 8 finalists gets Bikes from Hero-Honda… Isn’t that a dream come true?
