I wanted to purchase a bike... why? Well, 'cause I was tired of walking around and commuting in buses & autos. Moreover I could now afford to buy one, in loans ofcourse.

But still, I thought, what exactly are my priorities for the bike?

  1. Most of the use would be to commute from home to office and back.

  2. Travel to markets, movies etc. on weekends, max 20-40 Kms from home.

  3. Commute in the really bad traffic of the city (Bangalore). B'lore ppl know it very well.

  4. Most important: Have a nice milage, 'cause I don't wanna spend all my salary on petrol only, as I'm gonna use the bike day in and day out.

OK, so now I'm ready to hunt the market for the right bike for me. First I looked at the most famous and popular bikes among the ppl my age, in the market; Bajaj Pulsar DTSi, Hero Honda (Various Models), etc. Nice bikes, nice power... But something was lacking. Not so good milage, most of them in the range of 50-60 kmpl. I thought about looking for a better one. So I tried to visit the TVS showroom, and stated the above points to the salesman. And woila, he almost immediately recommended me this bike TVS Victor GL (The GX was not out then)

He said, this is the only bike in the market, which gives u the ultimate balance in the power / milage sector. Its 110cc engine, 4 stroke engine develops 8.1 BHP and thanks to its digital ignition, can be optimised for power or fuel economy depending on your riding style. This is indicated by two indicator lights called 'The Econometer' on the fuel meter. If its green light, u r using less power and thus less fuel. But if u really want to use the full power, just turn the accelerator more, and u see the orange light indicator, showing that u r using up more fuel. Well the top speed of the bike I went upto, is 83 Kmph.

Coming to the body styling, its multi-reflector headlamps provides better illumination for safer riding while its long broad seat offers great comfort both for the pillion and the rider. Even the rear shock absorbers have a unique 2-step adjustable, hydraulic suspension, which works gr8 for different terrains, and whether u r riding alone or with a pillion rider.

TVS service also is among the best in industry.

In short, I can say from the 7-8 months of riding, the TVS Victor offers amongst the best value for money in the Indian two-wheeler industry. Rightly as they say... More Smiles per hour... :)
