Last month, I decided to replace my 20 years old Kinetic Honda with a new Scooter. Always had TVS Jupiter in my mind, as I had once seen this with one of my friend. That was when I was hearing the name JUPITER!
Did some extensive research works in net on various other brands, especially on mileage and finally decided on TVS JUPITER.
Got my new vehicle on 2nd March 2016. Nearing one month of usage, so far, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOD!
MY REVIEW COMMENTS WITH SUGGESTIONS ON MODEL, PROS & CONS.
SUGGESTIONS:
Go for TVS JUPITER ZX Model, with color Stallion Brown. Great look, with Beige Body color.really awesome!
Never go for any accessories like polymer body coating, guard etc. Metal guards give a dirty look to this beautiful scooter. I opted for only mat, handle grip and extended warranty, which costed me 63000 for this scooter on the road. With all accessories, this ON ROAD price was 65000.
PROS:
DESIGN & LOOK: Great design, superb look.A SCOOTER MADE REALLY FOR MEN! No eye-washing using unwanted graphics, freaky projections etc.Simple, yet professional and mature!
ZYADA FEATURES.Yes! Features I loved very much, include, a) Pass-By Light, b) City Light c) External Fuel Tank d) ECO-POW indicator and e) Low-Fuel Indicator
MILEAGE: Filled petrol 4 times so far! This scooter gave me nearly 50 kmph as per my last 4 calculations.49.88 KMPH to be exact.
RIDING COMFORT: Smooth, extremely smooth.! Gave my friends a ride.be the driver or the pillion rider, everything perfect.! Every part of this vehicle is perfectly positioned.! One of my ACTIVA friend was complaining, that kick start for him was never possible with the side stand ON.because the starter would hit the stand due to wrong positioning.here in my vehicle, starter is positioned before the side stand and hence I do not have any problem doing it kick start with the side stand on.
CONS:
Retractable Hooks.made of cheap quality materials.give a feeling that, if you apply some force they may come out any time! Should have been made of metal, preferably brass, at least for the ZX variant.
Dura Cool Seat: For ZX model, company claims that the seat will have a temperature, 10 Deg Celsius less than the surrounding temp. I feel, they should have rather made a claim(+/-)10 Deg Celsius. I feel the seat to be extremely hot when the vehicle is in the sun for a few minutes.
External fuel tank(may be this is specific to my vehicle) is not correctly installed:-( In the past 20 - 25 days, many people called me from behind while I was riding and cautioned me about an opened fuel tank! I had to stop my scooter, thank them for cautioning me and then convince them that the tank was really not open, though it gives such a look. Hope I can get this corrected in my first service.
OVERALL, A GREAT SCOOTER FOR MEN! GO FOR THIS, WITHOUT ANY DOUBT!
