It is one the best scooter out of all the scooters.TVS tried it all with their Scooty Pep and Wego and all their variations but could not taste the success like the Honda Activa. The Honda Activa still remains the undisputed champ in the automatic scooter market, but with the introduction of TVS Jupiter, TVS aims to hit back at Honda and claim the position which it once enjoyed. We rode the Jupiter for around 70 Kms in the city and on the highway and found out some interesting facts about it. We will get into the facts later, first lets take a look at its technical specifications. The Jupiter comes with a 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, Air Cooled Engine with a displacement of 109.7cc which churns out a power figure of 5.88 Kw @7500 rpm and 8 Nm of Torque @5500 rpm.In other list of features it comes with a console which is fully analog and includes a light for driving in ECO mode for maximum efficiency, low fuel indicator, speedo and fuel gauge. The most interesting feature about it is the external fuel filler cap which is a boon for scooter riders. In other features it can occupy a single half face helmet under the seat. It also comes with a 12V output for charging your phone on the go, but it misses out on the Combi-Brake technology of the Honda which is a good thing for the female riders and also the learners. It also comes with black alloys and also a big set of wheels which provide more stability on cornering. Now lets get into the review and see what we feel about the bike. The bike looks refreshing and can be identified by new styling elements like the big headlight assembly and the placement of turn indicators on the front which are clear lens. 60% of the scooter is built of metal but we were not happy with the fit and Finish938844 of the scooter as there were lots of panel gaps and misfits.Anyways coming to the engine, it feels at home at speeds up until 70 but later it looses its steam. The highway stability is also better than the competition owing to the large wheels. The rear foot pegs are also spring loaded which is a good touch. The engine feels peppy and the scooter feels light. What else can you ask from a scooter? the suspension is also good enough and it does not thud out of pot holes. The company claims an average of 60 plus and an onroad price of around 60k we would definately recommend TVS Jupiter to anyone who is in the market for a scooter for daily use and with the Activa showing signs of ageing we would say three magical words GO FOR IT.
