FLAME IS SHAME FROM TVS . Review on TVS Flame

Life was smooth until I got TVS Flame and then I purchased TVS Flame in May 2008 from Bridge Stone Motors Bangalore.

SALES STORY

I was cheated by the dealer saying that  TVS has stopped Disc Brake Bikes and convinced me to buy a Drum Brake Bike. At the time of the first service I see couple of people getting the Disc Brake Bikes :-( any ways my problem is not with that... It was just a Trailer of miseries.

PERFORMANCE STORY

I was impressed by the IMI (INSTANT MILAGE INDCATIORS) Technology and to my experience it showed between 70Kmpl to 95 Kmpl and I was thrilled that I got this Bike informed all my friends that its a kool bike until I discovered the Mileage I got was just 33KMPL . Believe me it’s True. God damn it!

I rushed to the service center and they serviced the Vehicle and convinced me that now that they have done the First Service they have tuned the engine and did a Mileage test and I got 45 KMPL.

I was not happy but had to ride with no choice and then after riding around 300Km I found the mileage dropped to 35 KMPL. This time my patience had evaporated and I went to the Service Center and informed them until I get a good Mileage keep the Vehicle for themselves. Finally the manager informed that they are getting a new Carburetor as that’s creating a lot of problems. I was shocked to hear that the new Bike and Carburetor replacement :-( ...

They finally changed the carburetor and then the Mileage test indicated around 55KMPL.

PETROL TANK STORY...

The bike stopped on the middle of the Road and when I checked the Tank you can see the Petrol... U Kick n Kick and nothing happens and u bend the vehicle and kick ..it started like Hamara Bajaj Chetak..  Then it stopped again within 200 meters. I went and refilled the tank and there it started and when checked with the Service Station they don’t have an answer. I escalated this to TVS engg and they say the bike will not use around 300 ml of petrol in tank for a tank capacity of 7.5 Ltr only.

The reserve light acts crazy.. you get the light if you have parked the vehicle using side tank and with the middle stand you will not get with the same amount of petrol in the tank

This is not mentioned in any of there Brochure or website.

Now I have completed around 4500 KM and get around 50 to 55 KMPL with all my waste of time, money and energy.

Now the Actual story of the Bike is

1) Since its a CCTVI Technology opted after Bajaj filling a patent case on DTSi ;the engine performance is all time low

2) The IMI (INSTANT MILAGE INDCATIORS) is a piece of sh*t sold in Korean Market .. Man you get it in KG's there. Its like buying a electronic watch on the road side...

3) If you cross 50 KM speed the bike starts crying and you can actually feel u are on a sitting on a Wheat flour Machine

4) At the speed of 60 KM you can see the Tank vibrates and your Private part is literally vibrating (you are sure to get infertility problems)

5) The vehicle has an issue with starting in gear..You apply clutch and start... its pin drop silence and then you change it Neutral and then it starts

6) There is a Weird noise when you switch off the ignition ( Service Center claims it cant be rectified)

7) You finally decide to sell the bike and go to an auto consultant .. They offer Pea Nut rate.. With that money you can’t even buy a TVS XL

After all these stories with my Bike ... I think TVS FLAME SUCKS BIG TIME!

GOD'S MUST BE CRAZY OR YOU ARE A FOOL TO BUY TVS FLAME
